ATi’s senior management team have returned from their annual summer trip to visit our American colleagues and as always, the mix of business and pleasure was perfect!

AWWA 2017 2The trip kicked off with the AWWA exhibition, showcasing ATi’s leading water quality monitors, including the pioneering MetriNet, at the Philadelphia exhibition, aimed at uniting the world of water.

There was lots of interest in our new MetriNet, with visitors wanting to discuss how it could merge with water analytics, a software package, written by scientists, predicting what will happen and how it will affect the water.  This is obviously the way the industry is heading globally and not just in the UK.

AWWA 2017 1Interestingly, around 10% of all the exhibitors were people offering services to store and manage data for smart sensor technology, which is further confirmation that smart sensor technology is here and being employed in ever increasing ways.  There was also a big presence of the Internet Of Things, which indicates that it is a case of how quickly the UK water plc can adopt to this in order to benefit.

The event provided a fantastic opportunity for industry experts to network with thousands of the world’s leading water and wastewater professionals, as well as the opportunity to take part in work-shops and technical sessions.

After the success of the exhibition, there was also an engineering meeting to discuss the imminent launch of the new Portasense, along with other exciting new developments.  This includes the new ChlorLog, a compact residual chlorine data logger that gathers data of residual chlorine.

The trip wasn’t all work, work, work though as all the USA ATi staff, along with Mike, Garry and Chris, were also treated to lots of fun in the sun at ATi’s annual golf and BBQ!  The annual event for all ATi staff is held to celebrate the company’s growth and development throughout the year, and to thank all employees for their hard work.  Everyone had a fantastic time as usual and it was great to catch up with colleagues, customers, partners, contractors and suppliers.

We would like to thank all the ATi USA staff for their time, great food, drinks and fun on the green.  There are some exciting times ahead with some fantastic new products being developed, and we are very much looking forward to this exciting new chapter!
