GOLF MAD ATI!

ATI CHARITY GOLF DAY 15.07.2016Golf mad ATi teed-off in three charity golf tournaments during the past two months, enjoying lots of laughs with customers and colleagues….although not everyone was up to parr with their golfing skills!

July saw ATi UK host its first ever golf tournament for colleagues, partners and customers to celebrate a successful 12 months, and the weather not-so-kindly ensured that water was most certainly the theme of the day!

ATI CHARITY GOLF DAY 15.07.2016The weather was typical of ‘The green Isle’ with heavy downpours, grey clouds and a band of low pressure, however the golf buggies, umbrellas, lots of waterproof clothing and a refreshments hut helped to provide some shelter on the day.

Despite the heavy rainfall, colleagues, customers and partners managed to enjoy the excellent lunch, mid-tournament refreshments and evening BBQ thanks to the enthusiastic team spirit.

ATI CHARITY GOLF DAY 15.07.2016It was good see a mixture of customers, reps, contractors, suppliers and staff from across the UK, USA, Spain and Ireland, all of whom were competitive yet etiquette was still observed – apart from the friendly banter and attempts to put players off!

Ten teams of four took part in the four-ball golf competition at Saddleworth Golf Club, each playing Texas Scramble.  The rain was relentless (thank heavens for the buggies!) and there was a mixed bag of good, lucky and crazy shots from all who took part, but all was not lost and everyone went home with at least one prize or giveaway!

ATI CHARITY GOLF DAY 15.07.2016The ATi UK golf tournament was held to celebrate the company’s growth and development throughout the year, and to thank all employees for all their hard work and customers and partners for their support.

Prizes on the day went to:

Longest Drive – John Becker (ATi President)

Nearest The Pin – James Burton (ATi UK Installation Engineer)

Nearest The Pin In Two – John Becker’s team

ATI CHARITY GOLF DAY 15.07.2016Overall Winning Team – Ian Mewitt (ATi UK Service and Projects Manager), Chris McTear (ATi UK Technical Manager) Mark Bastable (ATi UK Head of Fire and Gas Detection) and Ian Jones (United Utilities).

We would like to thank all the Saddleworth Golf Club staff for the great food, drinks, and fun on the green.  We all had a fantastic time and more importantly, a real laugh!  We hope to do it all again next year and of course you will all be invited back!

British Water Charity Golf Day

During June, Garry, Tristen Chris and Ian took part in the British Water Charity Golf Day, in aid of WaterAid and Disabled Gold Association

The British Water Golf Day has now firmly established itself in the industry calendar and is a day to enjoy a challenging 18 hole round of golf followed by a networking dinner and prize-giving ceremony, all whilst raising money for worthwhile causes.

ATi donated two corporate tickets for the evening’s blind auction for Manchester City and Manchester United football matches.  In addition, ATi made a number of successful bids, including a 60 minute helicopter ride for two over London (which will be awarded to our Employee of the Year in December) and a golfing experience in Gamesborough.

This time, the weather was kind and we had a great time enjoying the fantastic facilities, food, drink and network opportunities.  We would like to thank everyone at British Water for an extremely enjoyable day and we look forward to seeing you next year!

ATi USA Golf Tournament

ATi USA’s sixth annual golf outing proved be a success this June, with the usual golf-mad UK team consisting of Garry and Chris.

Golf 3We first enjoyed a delightful lunch and then prepared for each teams tee-off for a game of better-ball. The weather was beautiful and this time the sun was blaring (makes a nice change!), allowing us to enjoy our afternoon on the course.

Unfortunately ATi UK didn’t manage to bring the silverware home this time, but Garry managed to come second yet again….that’s four times on the trot now so surely he’s due a win soon!

Again, we would like to thank John Becker, Ray Cromer and Pat O’dowd for a beautiful day of great food, drinks, and a fun weekend on the green.
